The Green Bay Gamblers raised $2,000.00 last season for the Sting Cancer Program. The money raised was through ticket proceeds from Sting Cancer Night. The Preble High School student organization works to reduce the effects of cancer and to offer support to families that face it.
Six years ago, Nesvacil initiated the organization with 20 members. It has grown to about 215 members and 12 advisers, and is believed to be the largest and only student-organized cancer awareness group in the nation.

The Green Bay Gamblers and the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center teamed up last season to raise $6,000.00 for local Disabled American Veterans. The money raised was through the Military Appreciation Night.
Prior to the game, individuals and businesses purchased tickets that were distributed to local military and veterans groups.

Last season the Gamblers collected a record 1,487 pairs of mittens and gloves during the 5th Annual Warm Hearts for Warm Hands Mitten Toss presented by Fox Communities Credit Union.
The 4,007 in attendance tossed the mittens on the ice when veteran forward Sebastian Weberg tallied the Gamblers first goal.
All mittens collected were given to Green Bay elementary schools.
In addition to the mittens collected, the Gamblers and Fox Communities Credit Union raised $2,816 for the Tank Elementary School’s Weekend Back Pack Program. The money was raised through ticket proceeds and a 50/50 raffle.
In five years hosting the Warm Hearts for Warm Hands Mitten Toss the Gamblers and Fox Communities credit Union have collected over 6,041 mittens for the community.

The Green Bay Gamblers and North Shore Bank teamed up last season to raise $5,389.00 for local area schools in Wisconsin. The money raised was through the North Shore Bank “Dash for Cash” promotion.
Twelve lucky teachers representing different schools were pre-selected to “Dash for Cash” during the 1st intermission. The teachers jumped into a pile of money at center ice, and had 20 seconds to stuff their pockets full of dollar bills. In addition to the Dash for Cash, the money came from a portion of ticket proceeds.

This past season marked the 15th year of the event in Green Bay. A regular season record 7,517 fans in attendance tossed 6,525 bears in the second period after a goal scored by defenseman Colin Sullivan for the Gamblers in a 2-1 overtime victory over the Team USA.
In the 15-year history of the Teddy Bear Toss the Gamblers and their fans have donated over 78,517 teddy bears to local hospitals and other charities across Northeast Wisconsin.
Dating back to 2000, the Teddy Bear Toss is a one time yearly event, where fans are asked to bring a new Teddy Bear to the designated Gambler game. When the Gamblers score their first goal, fans are encouraged to throw their bear(s) on the ice. In its first year, the team collected a little over 400 bears. In 2003, the Gamblers introduced their School Is Cool promotion. The promotion was created to recognize elementary and middle school students across Northeast Wisconsin who are all-stars in the classroom.
The Gamblers will again be awarding a FREE TICKET to the School is Cool hockey game to middle and elementary students.
