Ellingson Leads Gamblers To Victory |

Green Bay goaltender Reid Ellingson made 27 saves to lead the Gamblers to a 3-2 win over the Des Moines Buccaneers in front of 5,390 on Sunday evening at the Resch Center.
Heading into the final weekend the Gamblers sit in 2nd place in the USHL standings with a 37-16-4 record. Green Bay trails front runner Indiana by two points.
Des Moines scored 15 seconds into the hockey game to grab a 1-0 lead.
Green Bay tied the game when Ryan Furne scored his 20th of the season at the 19:28 mark of the first period.
Ellingson made a handful of great saves in the opening period. His best was stopping Des Moines forward Chris Knowlton on a penalty shot.
Des Moines regained the lead on a Knowlton goal at the 8:14 mark of the middle period. Green Bay responded 24 seconds later when CJ Lee found the back of the net.
The Gamblers their first lead of the hockey game when Reed Seckel tallied his 10th of year at the 18:52 mark of the second period.
Ellingson earned his 22nd win of the seaosn with a 27-save performance. Des Moines goaltender Michael Houser made 41 saves in a losing effort.
The Gamblers round out the regular season next weekend with three home games. On Friday night Chicago comes to the Resch followed by a pair of games with Des Moines.
